1:27 | you’ve got some momentum and you’re just

1:28 | trying to you’re just trying to keep it

1:32 | today you know we we kept both balls in

1:34 | play we um we were having you know two

1:36 | looks basically on every hole of Birdie

1:38 | and um you know that’s the way you need

1:40 | to play better ball everyone thinks it’s

1:42 | you know maybe a bit more gung-ho than

1:44 | that but as long as you have two two

1:45 | balls in play off the te two balls on

1:47 | the green um you know you’re always I

1:50 | think you’re always going to do pretty

1:51 | well in this format it looked like the

1:53 | wind started to pick up just a little

1:54 | bit as the day went on there’s obviously

1:56 | grain quite a bit of that that’s also in

1:57 | there is the course trickier for you

1:59 | guys than maybe the scores would

2:04 | how much did the course get a little bit

2:06 | more challenging as the day went on yeah

2:13 | know um it’s friendly is off the tea and

2:17 | it’s yeah it can get tricky like but

2:21 | what we did today it doesn’t feel like

2:24 | at times but um yeah I thought the

2:27 | course played tricky enough but you know

2:29 | we played it very well well cool yeah

2:30 | and Roy this is your first experience at

2:32 | this tournament is this sort of what you

2:34 | had hoped to get out of this event

2:35 | obviously it’s only one round but good

2:37 | golf sounds like you guys have had a

2:39 | good time so far enjoying yourselves a

2:43 | yeah absolutely um it’s sort of I don’t

2:46 | know if I knew what to expect I’ve

2:48 | watched this tournament a little bit

2:53 | players and you know uh you know it’s

2:56 | nice to come come here uh team up with a

3:34 | definitely feel like you know there’s a

3:36 | there’s a there’s a nice Vibe out there

3:37 | with the two of us and we know each

3:39 | other’s games so well like we we’ve

3:40 | played a lot of golf we play a lot of

3:42 | golf at home together um and we just

3:44 | know each other so well so yeah it’s

3:56 | yeah I’ve I’ve had a wonderful time so

5:25 | tournament and it’s a tournament we’ve

5:27 | come come to enjoy I think best balls

5:29 | you got to make a bunch of a bunch of

5:31 | birdies and it feels like if you string

5:33 | together a couple pars you’re falling

5:34 | behind but that can change uh very

5:37 | quickly I mean we’ve had years where

5:38 | we’ve played the alternate shot better

5:40 | than the best ball so um I think just

5:43 | drawing on the experience of alterate

5:45 | alternate shot and we can make up some

5:46 | ground there why does this partnership

5:48 | work so well because it goes well beyond

5:50 | this this event for you too yeah I mean

5:53 | we’re we’re good friends and uh it’s

5:55 | just it’s comfortable um we’ve played a

5:57 | ton together we know each other’s games

5:59 | and

6:00 | uh yeah we we’ve been it feels like

6:02 | we’re kind of veterans out here now uh

6:03 | even looking around on property here

6:05 | there’s a lot of new faces and PC and I

6:07 | been been going on it for for quite some

6:08 | time so we just enjoy enjoy our company

6:11 | each other’s company and and trying to

6:12 | compete here how much do you set a

6:14 | target number each and every day of

6:16 | something you perhaps would like to get

6:18 | to no real Target I mean it feels like

6:20 | it’s a golf course where if you play

6:21 | from the Fairway you can make a bunch of

6:23 | birdies and have a bunch of looks Al

6:25 | alternate shot obviously is a little

6:26 | different than best ball um because

6:28 | there are some difficult shots there’s

6:30 | some there’s some water and there’s some

6:31 | difficult part 3s but um you know we’ll

6:33 | go out tomorrow get as many looks as we

6:35 | can and try and make some more putts

6:37 | appreciate the time as always see you

6:38 | Friday thanks bgo all right thanks well

6:41 | we came out of the gates both playing

6:42 | really well uh both birdie in the same

6:44 | holes you know ideally we like to mix it

6:47 | up uh but we we started well and uh just

6:51 | kept it going whenever one of us need to

6:53 | the other uh we stepped up and ham egged

6:55 | it and um he was a fantastic partner he

6:59 | I needed him out there and and he

7:00 | stepped up yeah it was a lot of fun you

7:02 | know like he said we got off to a nice

7:04 | start both birdied a couple holes early

7:06 | and then uh you know yeah we just kind

7:08 | of you know took our turns but you know

7:10 | we’re just you know try to hit it in the

7:11 | right spots and give ourselves a lot of

7:13 | looks out there and um you know for the

7:15 | most part we were we were both in at

7:16 | most of the holes you know both of us

7:18 | took a break on a couple holes but you

7:20 | know that’s what that’s what the team’s

7:21 | for so um you know we picked each other

7:23 | up and and uh you know had a good day

7:26 | just like usual we ham and egged it um I

7:28 | don’t think either either of us were

7:30 | feeling like amazing about our games

7:33 | coming into the day um but we just kind

7:35 | of feed off each other really well I

7:37 | think we both relax each other out there

7:40 | um and beste ball is just a fun format

7:42 | man like I didn’t putt great last week

7:44 | but he he had a lot of holes where he

7:47 | snuggled it up there nice and close for

7:49 | par and and it really freed me up and

7:51 | you just kind of get confidence that way

7:52 | and I I think even you watching me make

7:55 | some putts like gave you confidence and

7:57 | you poured them in at the end so yeah I

7:59 | was doing a lot of spectating today

8:02 | but I made a couple long putts I think

8:05 | that uh contributed but it was I don’t

8:08 | know it was fun it’s fun to play golf

8:10 | with a good buddy we got off to a really

8:12 | good start and as Dave mentioned um when

8:15 | I birdied a hole Dave kind of stepped in

8:17 | right on the next um so we kind of fed

8:20 | off each other really well um I guess

8:23 | that’s what team golf is about um so

8:26 | yeah I mean we got the momentum going

8:28 | pretty early um um and just kind of kept

8:30 | it flowing throughout the round um had a

8:32 | good section in the middle and Dave

8:34 | finished off great in the last three hle

8:36 | so it was pretty even between us and uh

8:39 | yeah just kind of fed off each other and

8:40 | kept the round going really nicely
