1:07 | I was wondering if there were scenarios

1:09 | in which I could turn down the Wells

1:11 | Fargo invite and come play Myrtle Beach

1:14 | because we kind of had this one marked

1:16 | on the calendar for a while and I almost

1:19 | played good enough to play my way out of

1:21 | it which I guess would have been a good

1:22 | thing but uh would have been

1:24 | disappointing for sure George you almost

1:27 | made it into the field directly through

1:29 | can an influencer playoff event that why

1:33 | do you think that was a kind of a a

1:34 | smart move for the tournament to try to

1:36 | draw more attention given how difficult

1:39 | it is to find oxygen for for

1:41 | professional golf events when they’re up

1:42 | against the best players in the world

1:44 | somewhere else down the street man the

1:46 | heavy hitting questions early I like it

1:48 | um no like when I finished out on 18 um

1:52 | of the of the queue and chipped in the

1:55 | water and made a mess lost my spot I

1:57 | mean I was heartbroken legitimately

2:00 | stung and I was like man I lost my

2:01 | chance of playing in a PJ Tour event in

2:02 | my home state and got a call a couple

2:05 | weeks later and really flipped the

2:07 | script and um it’s an honor and a

2:10 | privilege to be able to represent my

2:11 | home state um use our platform to tell

2:13 | the story of Myrtle Beach the myt Myrtle

2:15 | Beach Classic um because again as as

2:17 | kids we grew up coming here and playing

2:19 | golf from probably age five to to who

2:21 | knows how old um and so the fact that we

2:24 | can use our platform what we got what we

2:25 | have going on YouTube what Wesley has

2:27 | going on on on the golf course uh to

2:30 | part of the story is something that I

2:32 | probably won’t be able to put in words

2:33 | how much it means to me um and as a

2:35 | family so it’s it’s it’s an honor to be

2:37 | here and we’re just excited Wesley we

2:39 | talked to the good good guys in Phoenix

2:42 | and I brought up the Brian Bros and they

2:44 | kind of were were bowing like you two

2:46 | are like Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi when it

2:49 | comes to this space via YouTube and

2:51 | trick shots how much do you feel like an

2:53 | OG Wesley you kind of launched this

2:55 | entire franchise as it were Wesley not

2:59 | uh no it was George George launched it

3:03 | um I just was the one that hit the ball

3:05 | out of midair but it definitely was was

3:07 | George’s deal getting the whole thing

3:09 | started up um and yeah just I I also

3:13 | feel like one of the ogs out here on the

3:14 | PGA tour now because I feel like there’s

3:16 | very few guys out here that are older

3:18 | than me um luckily one of them yeah is

3:21 | sitting to my right here but at that

3:22 | group yeah that is a good-look group

3:24 | right there I’ll tell you what that

3:26 | right there I know you asked a question

3:27 | I’m gonna Micah CAD for me in the Open

3:31 | qualifier this past year and that was

3:32 | one of the more heartbreaking losses

3:34 | I’ve ever experienced to not make it in

3:37 | that US Open but um back to the original

3:39 | question uh yes the the I guess at the

3:43 | time it was Garrett Clark who was

3:45 | posting stuff on Instagram and um we

3:49 | started he was probably the first one

3:51 | that started doing the trick shot stuff

3:52 | and then you had Josh Kelly and uh coach

3:56 | Rusty and we started to quickly realize

3:59 | that our talents as as trickshotters was

4:02 | just not that of of the guys coming into

4:04 | the space and conveniently at the time I

4:06 | got on the corn fairy tour which kind of

4:08 | convenient for you it was very

4:09 | convenient for me George do you think

4:11 | the golf industry is starting to catch

4:13 | up and realize just the the scale of

4:16 | reach that YouTube golf actually has for

4:19 | an audience that maybe isn’t attracted

4:20 | to network golf yeah I think it’s it’s

4:24 | people are starting to see the reach and

4:26 | the um that YouTube golf has but I don’t

4:28 | think the people people within the Golf

4:30 | Community really understand the the how

4:32 | big the reach actually is um it’s cool

4:35 | to be a part of it and um I’ve said it a

4:37 | lot of times like yes we want to to

4:39 | build our platform brand whatever but we

4:42 | want to represent YouTube golf as a

4:44 | whole well and see it when and see it

4:46 | grow because we believe in the power of

4:47 | it we know how awesome it is a for golf

4:50 | in the next generation of golfers and we

4:52 | know that they’re consuming it in mass

4:54 | quantities but like we can be a positive

4:56 | light not just on the PJ tour not just

4:59 | in Tradition setting for we can make

5:00 | YouTube videos are fun um that people

5:03 | relate to that they they watch and

5:05 | consume and we can you know have an

5:07 | impact on lives in that way and it’s

5:08 | it’s really cool um and something that

5:10 | we’re just excited to be a part of and

5:12 | to be fair it’s it’s more fun for us uh

5:15 | as participants in the content than it

5:18 | than it is for people consuming it so uh

5:20 | being able to do what we love hang out

5:23 | uh travel around the world and play golf

5:25 | with your best friend and your brother

5:27 | um it makes it pretty special for us as

5:29 | well Wesley I’ll never forget walking

5:31 | into the Golf Channel offices back in

5:33 | 2016 you won for the first time on the

5:35 | corn fairy tour would win three times

5:37 | that year but after that first win our

5:39 | Ace researcher Kevin Ryan told me that

5:41 | you’d won the golf tournament and I said

5:44 | the trickshot guy like that was my first

5:47 | reaction it wasn’t your golf Bon of fees

5:49 | it was the fact that you were a

5:50 | trickshot dude are you comfortable that

5:51 | some people will always look at you as a

5:54 | trick shot guy and not even a PJ tour

5:56 | that maybe the first line on the on the

5:58 | resume is trick shots

6:00 | I mean I feel like you would have uh

6:02 | referenced me as the almost All-American

6:04 | from the University of South Carolina um

6:07 | or or a standout Junior player but yes I

6:11 | guess sometimes I’m I’m referred to as

6:12 | the trickshot or sometimes uh even

6:15 | taking it back to the Big Break days uh

6:17 | or um I still get a lot um of comments

6:21 | about being roony Tomo from one of my

6:23 | original Dude Perfect debut so um yeah

6:26 | it’s it’s fine it’s all good fun um and

6:29 | we we enjoy at least being able to be

6:31 | recognized for something other than the

6:33 | mustache the mustache is a little brutal

6:35 | but had to bring it back no it’s it’s

6:37 | you have a good it’s a

6:39 | terrible I think guys will be able to

6:41 | tell you A Part whenever you have played

6:44 | in tournaments together previously are

6:46 | you going to pay any attention to where

6:48 | the other guy stands on the leaderboard

6:49 | as you’re working your way through your

6:50 | own round or is that just figure that

6:52 | out over dinner nobody else matters in

6:54 | this field I literally do not care about

6:56 | the other

6:57 | 130 other people in the field or I think

6:59 | it’s will there be I w’t I won’t be on

7:02 | my phone personally I will say that off

7:04 | to check leaderboards but I’ll be on my

7:06 | phone there will be like well we’re

7:08 | playing back toback so I’ll kind of know

7:10 | where he is but no we it’s a very whole

7:12 | by whole thing hey how’s Wesley playing

7:14 | what’s he at and in Bermuda when I was

7:16 | dominating him in the first round I was

7:17 | like I almost felt sorry for him I was

7:19 | like what he’s that he’s doing that and

7:21 | I was like and then they started

7:22 | chanting let’s catch West yeah then it

7:24 | changed but it’s one of those things

7:26 | that’s always um kind of motivated us

7:29 | when we play playing tournaments

7:30 | together is like the tournament is

7:32 | almost secondary but the but the primary

7:34 | thing is to beat one another and like if

7:36 | we’re playing bad we always want to like

7:38 | catch the other and so it’s been we’ve

7:40 | had a lot of good battles now not as

7:42 | many as as late Wesley’s been playing a

7:45 | little little better I mean they saw it

7:47 | just this week on

7:49 | YouTube it’s fun it’s it’s what’s Driven

7:51 | us I think it’s what’s helped us get us

7:52 | to where we are um especially where

7:54 | Wesley has um right now well Wesley this

7:57 | is the first event this event at Myrtle

8:00 | Beach Classic this is Golf Country to

8:02 | have a PGA Tour event you two sons of

8:05 | South Carolina I mean it wouldn’t be the

8:07 | same without you two but how meaningful

8:09 | is this connection this part of the

8:10 | world in golf having the PGA tour in

8:13 | Myrtle Beach yeah I feel like as

8:16 | impactful as the state of South Carolina

8:18 | has been in the game of golf really from

8:21 | the existence of the game here in the

8:23 | states um to actually get another PGA

8:26 | Tour event is huge because you’ve seen

8:27 | it uh host r cups and major

8:30 | championships and to finally get another

8:33 | uh regular PGA Tour event is really

8:35 | special and here being in the golf

8:36 | capital of the world it makes way too

8:38 | much sense I honestly can’t believe it

8:40 | took so long to get one here George

8:43 | Wesley it’s great to see you both the

8:45 | Brian Bros my kids going to be watching

8:46 | you this week hoping you guys make a lot

8:48 | of birdies bring home a trophy but most
