0:19 | Scotty sheffler wins and my guy finishes

0:21 | in second but the good news is no Scotty

0:24 | sheffler for this event how you feeling

0:25 | about theurge classic I mean we we’ll

0:27 | see someone else win you know and this

0:29 | is the only the only way we can

0:31 | guarantee that Scotty Sheffer is not

0:32 | going to win is if he’s not in the field

0:34 | and if he’s in the field we just have to

0:36 | assume at this point that he’s going to

0:37 | easily win as he did last week at

0:39 | Harbortown it it’s kind of routine by

0:41 | now but I think we have to appreciate

0:44 | greatness where we see it uh we we

0:46 | haven’t seen many runs like this it’s

0:57 | um by Friday morning I got a stab at 10

0:59 | to1 but let’s talk about this week’s

1:01 | tournament uh we’re playing at TPC

1:03 | Louisiana um I want to go over the

1:05 | format really fast uh so Thursday’s

1:07 | fourball Friday forums then the cut

1:10 | Saturday fourball and then Sunday forums

1:13 | let’s STP let’s start the top of the

1:14 | board I actually am skipping all of the

1:17 | short prices it’s not necessarily

1:19 | because I don’t think guys like Xander

1:20 | shley and Patrick Klay can win or Rory

1:22 | malroy and Shane Lowry don’t have good

1:25 | team chemistry I just think that in an

1:27 | event like this and there’s a guy not

1:29 | named Scotty shuffer in the field we

1:31 | have an opportunity to kind of take

1:32 | stabs elsewhere but I know from a DFS uh

1:35 | perspective it’s a little different than

1:36 | the outright board so I’m gon start off

1:38 | uh and ask you where are you going in

1:41 | the favorite Market yeah well obviously

1:44 | uh Xander and Klay are the the top price

1:47 | on DraftKings uh Lowry and maoy are

1:50 | right under them I I I really I think

1:52 | it’s trending toward Xander and Klay

1:55 | being massive chalk here and that makes

1:57 | sense because they’re a really good team

1:58 | and by chalk I mean High rostered okay

2:01 | so if you want to get away from that in

2:03 | a vol and by the way this is a volatile

2:05 | event okay these team events are very

2:06 | volatile you can play that to your

2:08 | advantage if you want to get away from

2:10 | that massive roster ship and go and dip

2:12 | down to Lowry and and mooy the Irish

2:15 | team uh I think that that’s a good move

2:17 | we have Lowry really like ripping the

2:19 | cover off the ball lately uh ball

2:21 | striking over the past 16 rounds Shane

2:23 | Lowry is second in this field Rory is

2:25 | 13th now Lowry has been a disaster on

2:28 | the greens last week he was dead last at

2:30 | Harbortown uh in Strokes gained around

2:32 | the greens um but Rory has been is top

2:35 | 15 in this field in Strokes gained

2:37 | around the greens I’m sorry on the green

2:40 | uh over the past 16 rounds what I’m

2:42 | saying is Lowry might be able to to

2:45 | remain terrible on the greens and this

2:47 | team could still score because Rory

2:49 | could get it done that’s the Hope anyway

2:51 | yeah I I initially had a wager on Mal

2:54 | Rory Lowry pairing um with the thought

2:57 | process that where where Rory’s really

2:59 | been struggling this year has been with

3:00 | his wedges and Low’s just one of the

3:02 | best wedge players and now we get low a

3:05 | little bit closer to the greens I think

3:07 | this is course is only around uh 17 7200

3:10 | yards 7400 excuse me par 72 um I

3:13 | actually like I said skipped the top of

3:15 | the board and I went straight to Tom

3:16 | hogi and Maverick MC but I’m gonna say

3:19 | this Denny if I weren’t a true

3:21 | degenerate I probably would not be

3:23 | betting this tournament because I’m a

3:24 | guy who likes to build models it’s very

3:27 | hard to build a model in a tournament

3:29 | that has Twan teams but there’s a couple

3:32 | things that I liked um this is

3:34 | definitely going to be a second Shot

3:35 | Golf Course so you have guys like Tom

3:37 | hogi who’s just an elite second shot guy

3:40 | and then you have a Maverick MCN who’s a

3:42 | great putter so if in the alternate shot

3:44 | format if Tom hogi can you know hit the

3:47 | iron shot and Maverick NE is putting the

3:49 | the birdie putt then it works out but

3:52 | when I was doing some digging this

3:53 | actually kind of surprised me um I went

3:56 | and looked at The Strokes gain metrics

3:58 | for the last 30 six rounds and I

4:01 | filtered it highest to lowest I was

4:03 | figuring to see Tom hogi somewhere in

4:05 | that bottom half he was actually in the

4:07 | top third which means even if it’s Tom

4:10 | hogi putting I feel kind of confident we

4:12 | don’t talk about I said I’m not going to

4:13 | talk about models a lot but there’s

4:15 | something to note combined Strokes

4:17 | gained average between all of the

4:19 | contestants in this their pairing is

4:21 | number one for strokes game approach

4:23 | second short Shot Golf Course you want

4:25 | to be strong on approach absolutely yeah

4:28 | yeah and mcne is uh not only good on the

4:30 | greens he’s good around the greens when

4:32 | you combine Strokes gained around the

4:34 | green and putting MCN is eighth best in

4:37 | this field this season it’s not a it’s

4:39 | not a spot where hogi has traditionally

4:43 | succeeded at least at a high level which

4:45 | means basically Brad that this team

4:47 | complements each other right and so hogi

4:50 | can get there from Tia green I mean he’s

4:51 | he’s been a very stable DFS option uh

4:54 | he’s he’s a guy you can you can plug in

4:56 | you know he’s going to make the cut you

4:57 | know he’s going to get gain Strokes on a

4:59 | he’s done it in every single event this

5:01 | year going back to January he’s going to

5:03 | do it again here McNeely can bring that

5:05 | around the game game and and eventually

5:08 | I think deliver for for this uh to some

5:11 | I I will say I don’t I don’t think that

5:12 | this team has a ton of upside but I do

5:15 | think that for DFS purposes I think that

5:18 | you can again get them in there uh and

5:21 | and you know get a guy get a pair that

5:23 | is going to compete into the

5:25 | weekend yeah um so I saw that you were

5:28 | on them in in DFS as well um I’m just

5:31 | going to Pivot straight over to the

5:33 | second group I want to talk about that’s

5:35 | the team Canadian the the other team

5:37 | Canada and that’s going to be um Nick

5:39 | Taylor and Adam hadwin the interesting

5:41 | thing about looking at pricing for uh

5:43 | betting I don’t know if it changes that

5:45 | much in DFS so I’ll have to get your

5:46 | take on it when I when I finish here is

5:48 | that on Monday Monday’s price is not

5:50 | going to be Tuesday’s price it’s not

5:52 | gonna be Wednesday’s price and certainly

5:53 | not gonna be Thursday’s price this is

5:55 | one of the hottest names in the betting

5:57 | board what I mean by that is their price

5:59 | is plummeting I was able to find Nick

6:01 | Taylor and Adam hadwin at 30 to1 I know

6:04 | that price was much higher before but uh

6:07 | the Canadian connection they’re all

6:09 | business on the golf course um what’s

6:11 | interesting or what’s kind of scary to

6:14 | talk about when you talk about thege

6:15 | Classic held in New Orleans are the guys

6:17 | who use this week kind of like an off

6:20 | week you know they go out there they hit

6:22 | Bourbon Street you know they they stay

6:23 | out a little late they get away from

6:25 | their families in party time and they

6:27 | come out to the course it’s hard to flip

6:28 | that switch this team runner up last

6:30 | year is all business what I love about

6:33 | them and they’re both playing really

6:34 | good golf and this going to be my motto

6:36 | for this uh for this little segment is

6:38 | they’re great second shot golfers yes

6:41 | absolutely and I I think that we have to

6:43 | incorporate into our betting and DFS

6:45 | models guys who are not likely to go out

6:47 | on Bourbon Street you know I think that

6:49 | that is one key factor here I don’t I

6:51 | don’t know what to say I don’t you know

6:52 | I I don’t know these guys habits but I

6:54 | that does seem the Canadian guys seem

6:56 | like all business all the time so I do

6:58 | like that all right so uh go ahead and

7:01 | tell me what you like about team upan

7:03 | here I see there’s 7,800 on DraftKings

7:07 | yeah uh Kevin Yu and CT pan you know I’m

7:09 | a little nervous about this but I had to

7:10 | dip a little bit low here to give the

7:12 | folks some salary relief because a lot

7:15 | of the best obviously the best pairs on

7:17 | DraftKings are going to be very high

7:19 | priced you’re going to have to make some

7:20 | difficult choices here I think you and

7:23 | pan are uh is a very stable tucum here

7:27 | Kevin Yu is fourth best in this field in

7:29 | Strokes gained ball striking over the

7:31 | past three months he’s gained Strokes uh

7:33 | off the tea in eight of his nine events

7:36 | uh this year CT pan meanwhile is 20th in

7:40 | uh approach and he’s been very good from

7:43 | the 150 to 175 yard range which is an

7:45 | important bucket he’s 10th best in this

7:47 | field from that range and like you said

7:49 | Brad this is a second Shot Golf Course

7:52 | and there there are not many groups in

7:55 | this tournament this week that are

7:57 | better than pan and you as far his

8:00 | approach goes especially from inside of

8:02 | 200 Hey listen uh every year we see

8:06 | there’s some smaller priced guys that

8:09 | find their way kind of in the top 10 top

8:11 | five right now you can get you and pan

8:13 | to finish top 10 at plus 550 or 12 to1

8:17 | to finish top five thought that was an

8:19 | interesting price on them at 75 to1 I

8:22 | don’t I don’t hate betting them I didn’t

8:24 | go that deep um in the like the the the

8:28 | underdog Market the long shot Market I I

8:31 | kind of stopped at a group that I

8:33 | thought had legitimate chance to win and

8:35 | that’s Taylor Moore Matthew nce Smith um

8:37 | at 50 to one it’s funny because if you

8:41 | look at a model and this happens week in

8:43 | and week out with Taylor Moore even in

8:45 | his win when you look at a model he’s

8:47 | not really a guy that’s gonna be like

8:49 | hey I need to I need a bet on him

8:51 | because he’s exploding in this category

8:53 | or he does all of this great but I think

8:55 | his game is just so well-rounded which

8:58 | makes him a good compliment to n Smith

9:00 | who is an absolute striker of the ball

9:03 | great second shot golfer so in the

9:05 | alternate alternate shot format I think

9:07 | that Taylor Moore’s uh completeness or

9:10 | the roundness of his game will allow for

9:12 | n Smith to be a little bit more

9:14 | aggressive because Taylor Moore will be

9:15 | able to clean up some up and downs um

9:17 | for for any Wayward shots and I think

9:19 | that aggression pays off when we’re

9:21 | looking at these high price guys you got

9:23 | to really think about what’s your risk

9:26 | versus reward especially in the outright

9:28 | Market does this I have an absolute

9:30 | chance to win 50 to one’s not that far

9:32 | off um before we close I want to get

9:34 | your thoughts on this group because I

9:35 | didn’t know if I was going crazy in

9:38 | betting this or is it a price that’s a

9:39 | little palatable so uh you know just to

9:42 | add to what you’re saying about Taylor

9:43 | Moore not really popping in any one

9:45 | category and I I looked at his profile

9:47 | and doing research for the show and you

9:50 | know nothing jumped out but then I look

9:51 | and I see Strokes gain total okay across

9:53 | the board he’s top 10 okay and he has an

9:57 | elite short game over the past 16 rounds

9:59 | no one in this field has been better

10:01 | around the greens than Taylor Moore so

10:03 | you’re right that is an important factor

10:06 | to consider going into this one Matt

10:08 | neith not going to blow anyone away

10:11 | around the greens okay we’re not talking

10:13 | about seie bios here but we are talking

10:15 | about a Taylor a guy in Taylor Moore who

10:17 | can get it done in that critical area

10:19 | and N Smith can just let it rip from te

10:21 | to green and that that’s the sort of a a

10:23 | compliment that you’re looking for when

10:25 | you’re looking for a team that can you

10:27 | know get into the top 10 maybe even

10:29 | challenge for the win come Sunday well

10:31 | we’re talking about teams here and team

10:32 | events this is a team event here I think

10:34 | that we gave out some good information

10:37 | um as a team and hopefully we can

10:38 | collectively win some people some money
